afternoon everybody, just reading this story about amoebas in the waters of lake havasu and other warm bodies of water!!

anyone have any experience with this deadly bug?

Warm stagnant water is the big culprit but it could happen to anyone anywhere with the right conditions. Not getting water in your sinuses will help tremendously.

As I remember the individual was at Windsor park. You should be OK any where ells.  :D

Kidding asside. It is rare and as long as you breath out your nose under water and not in still stagnet water, you should be OK.  :good

hey glassman, sorry dude did'nt meen to tread on your old thread!! i did a search on HDF but all i got was  (Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage) tried it a few times! just looking for some info!

sounds like if you keep out of the stagnet shallow ares should be fine!
