So I take a TON of pictures during river season.  For the past two years I have made collages and we have framed and hung them in our trailer at the river.  This year I am in the process of creating a video/slideshow on DVD using the pictures and funny video clips that I took during the 2007 river season.  It's pretty time consuming and my brain is slightly burned out.  My dilemma is the music.  I've got two good songs on there, but need several more.  We have too many songs to choose from in our collection and I'm kinda on overload at this point...

Question:  What songs do you HAVE to have on cd/mp3/ipod/ect. at the river?  What are the feel-good songs that just make you feel like your day on the water complete?  

As a trade for your input, I'll post the video when it is complete.  Thanks in advance for your ideas!!

I will have to check my ipod. I can't remember what I have on there for boating. But off the top of my head I think something from Incubus will work and Sublime as well. :good  As soon as I get my ipod out and look at it I will have more for you. Some stuff will have you scratching your head I will warn you of that. :stupid  :eek  :laugh  :D

I doubt that... I pretty much like everything!  From hardcore rock to country, to Sinatra/rat pack. to rap, to classic rock, ect.....

I have the songs from "Pegged" on my Ipod, I listen to it at the gym, always makes me think of the River, I can get you the names of the groups if you want any of them... :)

Hmmm, don't have a boat but I do have a  hodge podge/eclectic music collection.  I like to make playlists for fun times/vacations.   I'll have to look thru my iTunes library for some ideas for you.

On another board we have an iPod Shuffle thread...you post the last 5 songs that came up on shuffle.  It's interesting to see the variety and a great way to discover new songs/artists. :good

Yesterday I bought the High Kings (celtic) and John Trischka (bluegrass/banjo).  How's that for eclectic? :laugh

Isn't it funny how a song can instantly transport you back to a certain time in your life?  My friends crack up when I hear "More Than A Feeling" and instantly rattle off who I was dancing with to that song at our 9th grade graduation party. :laugh

There are soooo many great tunes. When we are out it's " I haven't heard that CD in a while, Play it". COuld be from the B-52's to Led Zep, Yes, Moody Blues, Aerosmith, ZZ Topp, Arlo Guthrie, Hits from the 70's, 80's who knows.   :D
