I think the best job in Havasu is the Havasu P.D. guys that work the Channel. I understand they actually pay to get that duty assignment. Having to look at bikini clad women all day must really take its toll. :good  :good

Coming in contact with drunks is an occupational hazard. Some are co-operative and some aren't. A fight with a drunk is the same in the channel as in South Central L.A. :beat  :beat . At least the scenery and most people in general are nicer in the channel. As for the vest, I know what it's like to wear one. It's not as bad as you would think. I would take the dry heat of the desert anytime over the humidity in L.A. From a retired cops point of view, I would much rather work the channel, anytime and any day. :beer

I could not be a cop, 1- I would shoot to many people, 2- I would let to many of the other "little things" go, and 3- Me not seeing to many strings and thongs in my life, I would have a third leg most of the time, and god forbid If I had to seach a girl or pat her down.:)~~~~

It's the groupies ( or was that gropers ). The only guys that have more groupies than cops, are rock stars. I couldn't carry a tune to save my life, so my only other alternative was to become a cop. Besides, having a uniform made it easy to get dressed everyday. Just had to remember to change to a clean one after a couple days. :guns
