A friend had a 396 Chevelle. We decided to go to an industrial area to have a race. It was me first, him second and the cops third. We all managed to elude them. :jumpie  :jumpie

'67 Ford Mustang with the boring 390. After about 3 months put in a 427 "built to the hilt" by Gayland Hill Racing Engines. Keep in mind that gas was less than a buck a gallon back then.

hmmm, my first car was a hand me down '77 Buick Skylark on its last legs. :rolleyes  For the first 15 minutes or so in the morning it stalled every time you made a turn...made for some hair raising experiences.  :eek  I did get to take it to college, and out of the 8 of us from my high school who were going up north to attend the same university, I was the only one with wheels.  It basically became "our" car for the year...all my friends borrowed it one time or another.  The summer before sophomore year I scraped together all my pennies and savings and bought my very own first car, a brand new bottom of the line red '84 Celica 5 speed.  My roommate's parents bought her a Beemer. :rolleyes  I loved that car, it's still my favorite car I've ever had.

When I was born my Dad was going to buy a new '65 Mustang convertible and garage it until I turned 16, but talked himself out of it because it was frivolous. :banghead  :banghead  :banghead  :cry

Mine was a '72 Saab 99 that I lowered, rollcaged, upsized the motor, headers and dual sidedraft DCOE Webers.
It was so unusual it got a lot of attention, pretty quick. It'd give 289's a run for the money.
I always got the looks when the blue tire smoke came from the front wheelwells. I set it roadrace style, it handled like it was a slotcar.
Smog laws here finally caused its demise :(

'56 Chevy 210 2 door. I took 3 cars my dad had in the yard to make one. Has a 265 v8 with the cast iron powerdrive. Reason I say has is because it is in CE's garage. It belongs to my dad now and needs a whole lot of work. Never will be a creame puff but could be a fun project and a cruiser.  :good

My first was a 1967 cuda that I bought for $250.00 back in 1971 and put a 440 with 426 wedge heads on it and edelbrock torquer manifold with a 850 carb,727 torqueflite trans and 411s in the rr. I wish that I still had it.

Injected is nice, But I'd rather be Blown

'74 chevy van. I got myself in a little trouble with it in high school. It was a party wagon.  Then I bought a '87 GMC 3/4 ton pickup, that only comes out in the summer to pull my boat, and those are the only two cars I've owned.

My wife has been threw plenty of cars. And we have her brothers '72 chevy pick-up that we are going to restore someday.

My first car was a '92 (am I showing my age here?), fire-engine red, Chevy Cavalier 4-door.  :laugh  It was nothing spectacular, but I was one of the few kids in my group of friends that got a car when I was 16.  When I graduated high school, my parents bought me a mustang... Yes, I was spoiled, but I was also a good kid too though :D

My first car was a '74 Chevey Vega. :eek  I loved that car. Stick shift, four banger. I learned to do alot of things in that car. :D  Then moved up to a '79 Toyota Supra. That car was pretty fast for how old it was. Straight six in it.
