We're pretty spoiled in general. I was on a train trip several years ago, and there was a guy from France, I believe. Anyway the lady across the isle from him just drilled him about everything for like an hour. He told her that he could only drive his car every other day, for polution control, I think. So she asked if he had another car to drive on those days he couldn't drive the first car. He just stared at her blankly for afew moments then said that no one he knew could afford two cars. And, from what I gather here we average three cars a household, maybe more with CE's vehicle count.

Starbucks charging 4 or 5 bucks a cup for coffee, they must have built in the tip and didn't tell anyone. So next time tell them that you will give them 2 bucks for that 4 buck cup of coffee.

Yeah, I'm thinking they should be tipping the customers for paying that much. Â Their customer service could use some help too. Â Don't ever criticize their coffee making skills in front of them...they get pretty nasty. Â |
Customer service. Now you got me laughing. Isn't this the same company that shut down the entire chain to re-do training just a couple of weeks ago. Then today introduced the new machine that measures ingredients better. Also said that they will start grinding the beans in the stores so they smell better. |
Yup, I was thinking that too when I posted. Somehow I don't think a 5 hour shutdown could make that much of a difference in changing their attitudes. And who's going to be paying for those new machines? The customers, of course.
I still have a couple Starbucks gift cards...I should use them up. Maybe I'll buy a new travel mug for my Dunkin Donuts coffee.

Think About What A Gallon Of Soda Costs, Especially If It's Bought Idividually Or At A Fountain.... |
Yes that is true but you have a choice on where you buy and how you buy it and you don't have that luxury at the pumps, gas is the same price by the ounce or by the gallon! soda is the oppisite the more you buy the cheeper it is. |
That's really not true. Buying at the pumps is just the most common and easiest. One of my customers buys 100,000 gallons of diesel per day minimum. He/They get a big discount. And Soda is not traded on futures market.

I am talking about the average consumer. There are not many consumers that can afford 100,000 gallons of gas! I no that I sure can't.

That's my point. We, the consumers are they bottom feeders. And because we are limited by our fuel capacities, they got us right where they want us. We pay the most. I've gotta buy 5 gallons per day to get to work and home. Even at $20 per gallon, we gotta go to work.

As a car dealer I have a Corp. Fuel account with CFN. I'd buy a decent amount of fuel each month yet I did not seeing any real savings by patronizing the commercial pumps. There are times when the retail fuel was less. I made a better deal with my local gas station and get a discount on my fuel, but I keep the CFN card with me in case I see or need an option.
