I could never do some of the things those guys were getting away with, but the cops are trying to be "nice guys" to avoid being charged by the customers.....

We still go on the weekends-- I think the lower river is a little less crowded than Havi or Parker.  Holiday weekends are the WORST.  On holiday weekends we drive to the sandbar early (before the idiots have shaken their hangovers) and don't move the boat all day.  We wait it out all day there and cruise back down the river after the mass exodus of drunk morons is long gone.  Even still, we always encounter idiots on the water who have no idea what they are doing :banghead   I'm always very nervous on these weekends when we are underway-- pretty much everyone on our boat has their head on a swivel looking for lakelice or dangerous boaters.  :rolleyes

I have never been to Havasu on big weekends, We useually Go to Katherine's Landing, Pack all the boats with all the camping gear then take off up river passed Princess cove about a mile and camp out for about 4 to 5 days.

Injected is nice, But I'd rather be Blown
