Rising prices - have you changed your life style?

With gasoline, groceries and utilities increasing daily, how have you changed your life style? Or have you? I know that we have changed our shopping habits to groceries and going out to eat. We are also taking less weekend trips only if its down 2 our Parker house. I also have not been going back to Cali that often, because of the gas prices...

Saw the writng on the the wall  :( and raised the cash flow. Spending a little bit more and saving alot more for the recession to start, wait it all ready started. :beat  But workin suks :D

I didn't notice. However, I was upset when someone robbed my bank last month. I should switch banks....this one's not so good at keeping my money safe!  :banghead

Well I have seen a BIG turn around here in ohio, and I use to live like a king, Now It seem like I'm just getting by, and I make the same as I did 5 years ago, We have stop buying anything we don't need, I work 1 mile away, so I'm not spending much on fuel, and as for food, well that it, not going out to eat but maybe once a month, use to do that 3, 4 time a week each, breckfest and dinner, maybe lunch, nope no more, I think the GOBERMENT wants us all broke and there doing a good job at it.

Jeff had to end his early retirement and go out and get a job :D  We don't go out to eat . . . I can't remember the last time we went out to dinner . . . 2-3 months?  Cutting back the Jamba Juice trips to about once every 2-3 weeks (used to be 2-3 times a week), and thankfully Jeff got a company truck so he gets reimbursed for gas now and doesn't have to drive that deisel around.  It was $129 to fill it Tuesday!  Also I've cut back on my groceries. Stopped buying my organic/hormone free meat at Trader Joes and no more organic milk at $5/gal.  I stopped getting my nails done also.  Just one stupid expense I don't need.  We also cut the water back on the grass.  Just enough to keep it alive this year. Our water bill runs in the $600s in the summer, so hopefully that will help a little.  We don't need to live in the middle of a park :D

Trader Joe's is I belived by ALDI, The company that I haul for, And yes we are seeing a slow down at the stores, as far as living in a park, I have that, and I don't even have to water it most times, It's rains to much here. I will still be doing house remod and yard landscaping, and cookout this years.

If you're talkin' about the fact that there's less cash in the ol' bank account and the cupboards are a little less stocked these days, then yes, we have changed our lifestyles. Thank goodness that I get free rent and utilities as part of my pay. Put alot of long hours in to earn it, but it's worth it right now. Been off work since mid-Feb., offered to pay while I am off and the VP looked at me like I was an idiot (actually I am) and told me that my "account" was paid in full for quite awhile. :good Now; whom do we thank for this fine state that this country has gotten into? Can't blame it all on the Arabs! :eek  :(

A lot less of just jumping in the car to do odd errands, its much more of "killing 4 birds with one stone".
"Greening" the home more with energy saving CFL bulbs.
Basically being more sensible and less wasteful as we Americans are used to being.

We eat out alot less...and go over to friends homes instead of going to a bar/restaraunt.  I think that the restaraunt biz in Havasu is suffering in general, we'll see what the summer brings.

Just livin' the dream in Lake Havasu.......
