We did not do much, we did not go anywhere, we just had a small cookout with corn, burgers, wings, cajun catfish, and some other stuff, then cruz the car around and they blew off our fireworks And yes I still have all my fingers and the house is still standing, LOL oh and no $500 fines. Then took the car out for a midnight run down the hyway to watch all the other fireworks.

Glad we stay'd safe, at home...
Girl dies in PWC accident Friday drowning victim identified as transient
By David Bell Saturday, July 5, 2008 9:24 PM MST
Lake Havasu and the Colorado River have claimed two lives in as many days, as a second person was killed on the water Saturday.
San Bernardino County Sheriff’s officials said a personal watercraft and boat collided in the river north of Lake Havasu, near the Needles Bridge Saturday at about 5:30 p.m.
“A 19-year-old female was pronounced dead at the scene and a 14-year-old female was air lifted to Las Vegas in extremely critical condition,†said Sheriff’s spokesperson Cindy Beavers. “Cause of the crash remains under investigation.â€
The first death occurred Friday in the Bridgewater Channel. Lake Havasu City Police Lt. Rich Sloma said law enforcement is waiting on toxicology reports to determine exact cause of death.
“The victim of the drowning was identified as Jimmy Dale Maguglin, 48, a transient,†Sloma said. “Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the incident.â€
Bystanders found Maguglin floating face down in the channel off London Bridge Beach Park Friday afternoon, in almost the same spot he was rescued and resuscitated by Lake Havasu City Fire Department personnel two weeks ago.
San Bernardino County Sheriff’s personnel are also keeping an eye on another incident Saturday. At 3:26 p.m. a call came in of serious injury at Copper Canyon.
“It was a jumper from the rocks in the canyon, though we’re not yet sure if it was in the canyon or outside at the entrance,†Beavers said. “He is a male in his early 20s and he was transported.â€
Havasu Regional Medical Center staff stabilized the unidentified man and prepared him to be airlifted to Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas.
The victim’s condition is unknown at this time.

Friday I slept in and loafed around untill re left for the D-Backs game. After the game we stuck around and watched fireworks from the stadium. Sterday got up and mowed and eged the front yard Killed afew weeeds, Adjusted the sprinklers that were out of wack. Then went to the D-backs game. Sunday woke up with just enough time to shower and get my sh!t together in time to leave for the D-Backs game, WOOO-HOOOO they won one. Got home about 5. Went out and worked on my bug to get it running. Hopefully it will make noise, Not sure what kind , By the end of the week.

Put your seat belt on. Your going to love this.
Its a '72 Super Beetle. When I got it it had been hit in the left rear. So the people hacked( yes HACKED) the rear off and cut up the rear fenders. It also looks like it was pushed into something after getting hit in the rear. So theycut part of the nose of. Then they fit what looked to be late '60's fenders on the front and HACKED the hood to fit a narrow eye nose. Mind you I found most of this after I got it home. The motor, 1600 single port, was sitting behind the car not in it. They said it ran when they pulled it. That there is another story. I found a Baja glass kit for a Super. Here it is as before I started working on it last week. Oh and these pic's do it justice.

That's a shame how people hack $hit up!. Here's mine the day I picked it up, it's a 65-66 but it's registered as 59,LOL, according to the numbers it has a 71 1600 dual port in it, supposedly it's new and I pulled the valve covers and it's super clean!.. Had to rewire the whole thing and re do the interior, but it's rust free, it's a fun car and it sure gets good mileage!..

Nope. Never did. I don't think a standard beetle one will be wide enough. I haven't looked for one for a super.
