Circumstances: Las Vegas Metro Police Department earlier this morning reported that a 6-year-old boy was kidnapped this morning from a home near Hollywood and Lake Mead during a robbery around 7:15 a.m. According to police, the two suspects knocked on the door and indicated they were police however once inside they tied up the boy's mother and her male friend and began looking for money in the home. Police say they took the boy when no money was found. The reason why there was no AMBER Alert Activation until just before Noon, was LVMPD had no descriptions to give. However, we now have one description of the three Hispanic males who are now suspects, all of whom speak with a Hispanic accent.

Grandfather could be link to missing Nevada boy

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Investigators were looking for the grandfather of a kidnapped 6-year-old boy Friday, saying they believe the abduction may be linked to the man's drug dealings with Mexican nationals. The boy, Cole Puffinburger, was abducted from a Las Vegas home Wednesday morning by three men posing as police officers. Police said they believe the men were Mexican drug dealers and that the kidnapping at gunpoint was a "message" to his grandfather, Clemens Fred Tinnemeyer.

"Tinnemeyer has stolen a large sum of money, all proceeds from illegal drug activity," Las Vegas police Capt. Vincent Cannito said.

Police believe methamphetamine was involved, said Officer Cris Johnson, a Las Vegas police spokesman.

Tinnemeyer, 51, may have stolen millions of dollars from the Mexican nationals, said Officer Cris Johnson, a Las Vegas police spokesman. Johnson declined to say what role Tinnemeyer played in the drug operation or whether the kidnappers were seeking a ransom.

Tinnemeyer was last seen in May and reported missing Sept. 11, said Johnson.

A nationwide Amber Alert remained in effect after two men tied up Cole's mother and her boyfriend at their house Wednesday and abducted Cole. Cannito said a third man was believed to be involved.

He said police had "several" other persons of interest in the case, but no suspects in the abduction.

Meanwhile, authorities were looking for Tinnemeyer and his white Dodge pickup with Mississippi license plates, Cannito said.

Authorities also were investigating whether other family members had ties to the drug operation, Johnson said.

"Money is a huge factor, obviously. Drugs are a huge factor," Johnson said. "The only innocent person involved in this entire operation is the boy."

The FBI, Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the Drug Enforcement Administration are investigating.

Grandfather of abducted Nevada boy arrested

RIVERSIDE, Calif. (AP) — The grandfather of a kidnapped 6-year-old Nevada boy has been arrested in Southern California after police named him a "person of interest" in the abduction.

San Bernardino County Sheriff's records show Clemons Fred Tinnemeyer was arrested late Friday in the city of Riverside.

The boy, Cole Puffinburger, was abducted from a Las Vegas home Wednesday morning by three suspected Mexican drug dealers posing as police officers.

Authorities say the abduction may be linked to Tinnemeyer's drug dealings with Mexican nationals.

Officials say he may have stolen millions of dollars and that the kidnapping at gunpoint was intended as a "message" to him.

coincidence that the grandfather was arrested in the same area where the Mexican Mafia is and where the boy is thought to be held at?  I think not.  The FBI and DEA need to string up the grandfather, mother, and mothers boyfriend and hang them until their feet stop kicking!  Then go after the Mexican Drug Dealers and do the same thing!

The little boy is the only victim here....

I'm smelling way to much BS here. Holding him as a witness against who. No charges have been filed on anybody, including his kid and her boyfriend. Anywhere from 8 to 20 Mil missing of drug money. Why don't the just say he's in PC.

Exactly what I was thinking.  Tell ya what, he's alot safer in PC than running around the Streets of Riverside if he did indeed rip off the Mexican Mafia of Millions.

I'm thinking that he's in the San Bernadino County Jail rolling over to FBI and DEA Agents right now as we speak.  He's gotta know by now that they (FBI & DEA) are on to him, and his best bet is to cut a deal, roll on the Mexican Mafia, and hopefully save his grandson (If he even cares about his grandson :rolleyes )  Then the Feds will give him a new ID and we'll pay for him to live in luxury for the rest of his life :angry  :angry  I'm thinking, get the boy back and put him in a safe place, then let the drug dealers all shoot it out and get whats coming to them.

Cowards, they know the only one anyone cares about is the kids If they went after the old man no one would have gave a crap :guns  It sucks that the boy has to pay for his brain dead family :banghead and when they do recover him his head will be so F'ed. Just hope there is some normal family members to take him in.

Sadly I'm afraid the only way this sweet little boy is coming back will be in pieces. :(   With the grandfather in custody these drug dealers know there is no way they're getting their money back, so the kid is as good as dead.  Good going, LEOs. :rolleyes   How about some of these rich bastards pony up some cash for the boy's safe return?  $20 mil is pocket change for the likes of Warren Buffett, Bill Gates, and all those f'ing Wall Street execs.  If it can be verified that Cole is still alive, chip in and  give the bastards the money, then worry about going after them AFTER the boy is safe.

Keeping Cole close in my heart....that and praying is all we can do. :(  :cry
