After working so many hours. I was able to take some time off to get the hell away from the "Job" and take care of  my mind and a project that has been at my feet for a few years. Here is a pic of a Onan generator that I bought 18 years ago. My wife used a few times painting houses. This beast powerd an industreal airless paint sprayer with out any bog at all.

I tore it apart and made intake/exhaust gaskets. There the same gasket. Put it back together and still only running on one cylinder. So I made a gasket to go under the load control modual that senses the change in vacume in the intake. The hole circled matches a port in the intake.

After making a gasket for this it still only had one hole firing. So I took the box apart and found the diaphram was a little leakey.

Here is the same diaphram. Next to it is a rod with a round peice that should be on the center of the diaphram. This is what controls the throttle. When the engine is placed under load it will raise the RPM. You can also see that the pivot rod is warn through.

Now My delema. All I know about this beast is that it is an Onan Generator. I have no idea what year or madel. The plate that has that info is gone off the unit. I can plug the intake hole and the thing runs great. But leaves no load control. I found a place off of 101st ave in Avendale that I hope has the parts to fixe this. Otherwise I will eliminate it and hope it will be OK.

No mater what the out come will be. This Bad Boy is up for sale. I have no need for it now and tired of it taking up garage floor space.

If anyone has a connection on parts, please let me know. The cheaper I can get this working right the better off I will be.

There use to be a place in Fontana that sold Onan motors. But I don't remember the name of the place it's been a few years but I will check to see if it is still around! :good

It has come to a screeching halt. I haven't had time to do much over the week due to catchup time at work. Thursday I did some searching on ebay and found what I need. But a little leary buying stuff off there. Aslo not sure if these boxes are all the same or set differently for each system. The one I found was off a different model. I was going to go to Meas RV this morning but curently working on an issue in my Columbus Ohio office and can't leave to go anywhere until I can get a tech on site.  :banghead

I wouldn't go thru E-Bay either unless you know for sure it'll work, if it don't work you're stuck with it and back to square one, local is your best bet!.. :good
