NASCAR Suspending Testing at Tracks By JENNA FRYER, AP
posted: 14 HOURS 39 MINUTES AGOcomments: 64PrintShareText SizeAAAHOMESTEAD, Fla. (Nov. 14) - NASCAR has suspended all testing at its sanctioned tracks next season in a cost-cutting measure that should help teams save several million dollars in their 2009 budgets.
The moratorium, which includes the traditional "preseason" Daytona 500 testing, is for NASCAR's top three divisions. Teams cannot test at any track where a Sprint Cup, Nationwide Series or Truck Series event is held.

Maybe more as testing days has been increased from 14 to 30 days also. No mention of possible safety issues either.

Knaus is proof that races can be won in the pits. He makes a lot of good calls.
