I'm thinking about rewiring my bug to clean up the old crap and simplifying the wiring. Rewiring the the ignition and charging side is easy. The lights a breeze. IÂ need to keep directional signals active. I want to do them up with a SPST center off switch. Will this work? Does someone have a simple wiring diagram for this or be able to give basic discription on what I can do to make this work as easy as I can?
Thanks

It Can Be Done, But You Will Have To Use Two Lights On Each Side On The Rear. One Light Will Be For Turn Signals And The Other For Stop Lights..... |
Don't they use regular #1157 blubs. |
Yes but on a VW the turn signal is a seperat cicuit and bulb. Right now I have the Turn signal and running lights on the same light using a 1157 bulb. also I have the brake lights on seperat lights. The wiring on this thing is a mess. So I'm seriously looking to redo and simplify it all. While eliminating crap that is not needed. Like the rear window defroster, A fan control that I have yet to find the fan.

Trace the turn sig wire back to the front and connect it to one of the outside poles on switch. Repeat for other side.
