I did a little research on the Garmins a little while back and was amazed at how many models they had. I noticed TomTom has a lot too, but I didn't compare them because I have what was given to me.
I tested it last night though by taking some wrong turns on purpose. Â It didn't freak out and say "turn around" or anything. Â It just automatically came up with a new route plan and told me where to turn ahead. Â Also, on the major streets, the POSTED SPEED LIMIT showed up next to my actual speed. Â
The installation came out clean too. I have a wired overhead console that I hardwired a 12v port into and it's completely hidden. Â A small cable drops out of the front of it at the windshield that's just long enough to plug into the TomTom when it's mounted on the windshield above my rearview mirror. |
That's very cool!..
