"1408" was a great movie! Saw it when it was in the theaters. Have seen a coupla movies lately. Watched "The Assasination of Jesse James" tonight. Was disappointed in it. Watched "The Bucket List" the other night and was a little disappointed in that one too. The best movie that I've watched as of late was "Wanted". Didn't want to see it in the theaters but the kids drug me to the drive-in last summer to see it w/"Hellboy II" and I really got jazzed! Was nothing like I expected. I liked it so much that I asked for it and received it for Christmas. :good  Gonna try to take mrsgig to see "Appaloosa" tomorrow @ the "cheap show". Love a good western ands I've heard nothing but good about this one.

I was very dissappointed in "Burn After Reading" last night.  I'd been looking forward to it for a while.  I'm so glad I didn't pay $22 to see it in the theater.

Watched "Bucket List' a few weeks ago on cable. I liked it. Little different than what I thought it was going to be though.

Exactly. "The Bucket List" wasn't bad that of a movie. Just not what I expected I guess. Was looking for more of their adventures. Took mrsgig to see "Appaloosa" at the cheap show today. If you like a good western, I don't think anyone would be disappointed with this one. True to life as I imagined it was back then; in the vain of "Open Range", another of my all-time favs. :good

Are you talkin' about "ELF" w/Will Farrel? Because if you are, your "just plain dumb" description is accurate for all of Farrel's movies. I just don't get where people think he's funny wthe exception of "Anchorman". :stupid Do not find him any funnier than I find CE or GFR. :p

Recent movie adventures we went and saw:
Theaters:
Yes Man----funny as hell :good
Marley and Me----funny, and sad...Plus its got Jennifer Anniston :love  :good
DVD:
Darjeeling Limited......stupid, don't bother, major snore.
Drillbit Taylor.....ok, cute but not great by any means.
.
.
.
.
Oddly, and completely by chance the last three movies I listed star Owen Wilson

Warren Miller's Playground. But that's not really a movie.

I haven't gone out to the movies since we took the kids to Space Jam when it first came out.

We usually just wait for pay per view.
