Geezus that was one fugly offensive display by both the Angels and Doggers! Both sides left enough men on base to populate a small, third world country. :eek

But hey; a win is a win! :good

Thanx GFR. Made it back in one piece, which is more than I can say for GMan's Doggers. Had a great time. The Daughter treated the whole Family to a trip to Disneyland on Sat. and dinner at Medieval Times on Sun. For it being Memorial DSay weekendf, it was quite pleasent and the crowds weren't unbearable for the most part. Treated the Daughter and Granddughter to Bubba Gump's and a movie ("Night at the Museum 2"  :good ) on Mon. All-in-all, a great weekend! :good

Now, back to the point at hand. Gotcha GMan! 2 out of 3 ain't bad. Could have easily won all 3 as well as lost all 3. Pretty anemic hitting w/RISP from both teams. And you'd think that a "professional" pitcher could throw a strike when you have the bases loaded in the 10th. If it weren't for our bullpen, which was supposed tpo be one of the best in baseball as it has been for several years, we'd be the owmers of the best record in baseball. Even with our erratic offense! Oh well; maybe next time GMan! :good

Yep, I told you Weaver was good...didn't I?

Can't figure it out about that cross-town rivalry. The boys in blue just don't play like they should against the Angels....they sweep the then first place Mets, and are about to blank Colorado too, but go figure...they lose 2 out of 3 to a 23 - 22 team.. :banghead

And the Dodgers still manage to maintain the best record in ALL of Major League Baseball...32 wins, 15 losses.  :D


that's OK, they'll meet up again in June.  :p

Expected what? I was bein' humble! That was some fugly baseball bein' played at the plate over the weekend. We're in the same boat. Take two out of three (and could have easily taken the third one) from the team w/the best record in baseball (still don't think they're the best team) NOW; but we can't even score more than a run against the Chitown "Pale Hose" for 16 innings? I tell ya; the Angels look and play like Sybill. :(

But somehow they pull it out. Manny or no Manny. And you gotta admit, it's fun watching Juan Pierre run the bases...and O-dog knock down outfielders while runing backwards trying to catch the ball!  :beat

So far this season there's only a few from the Angels that deserve even a consideration. Saunders and Weaver have pitched pretty good and Torii Hunter should be a shoe-in in center IMO. But it will probably go to an "east coaster" as usual. :(
