Too bad Kalefornea doesn't follow suit. We could erase alot of the budget concerns, if we'd stop keeping these scumbags alive on Death Row, while they appeal their sentences for the next 20 years.  :angry  :angry

Short tree with a long rope? :stupid

May as well be with the way they coddle the damn prisoners. Still am a firm believer in capital punishment and quit runnin' the prisons like a reform school. Damn few of the "sufferers of unfortunate circumstances" ( :rolleyes ) that go in aren't interested in rehabilitation. For a great majority of them, their stints in prison are the best times of their lives. Three squares, a bed, roof over their heads, A/C in the summer, heating in the winter,  no work, medical when they need it, recreation, "health club", etc., etc., etc. Hell, we have to pay damn good, hard-earned money for that $hit on this side of the walls!

If you want to see how I believe a prison should be run, go visit the Yuma Territorial Prison Museum sometime. Now they knew how to do it! :good

And I agree with ya 1,000,000%!

My slogan WHEN I run for governor (hell; if the clown that's in there now can do it, so can I), one of my slogans is going to be; "Clean out death row! Kill them all! Balance the budget!" :p

I just hope that if I do win that the electric companies can give us a variance on all the electricity were going to be using. And the pharmeceutical companies approve all of the necessary drugs. And the federal government waves the taxes on all of the ammo that will be needed. And we're able to attain enough rope from Lowe's and/or Home Depot for all the hangings. We're going to need it all because I plan to carry out this "plan" within 2 weeks of taking office (I'm not totally heartless, I'll give them 2 weeks for their "FINAL APPEALS") and then I plan on taking no more than 2 days to carry it out.

You see, I'm a firm believer that deathrow should be cleaned up, and maybe even move some lifers over for the "hosecleaning", before any programs of any kind are cut and a single teacher, clerk, secretary, street sweeper, garbageman, or any workers of any kind be layed off! :good

Besides; I can properly pronounce California too! :p

Not that I don't agree that if someone is sentenced to death, he ought to be executed on the spot....but here's something interesting to chew on:

Financial Facts About the Death Penalty
------------------------------------------------------------

California

Report of the California Commission on the Fair Administration of Justice

“The additional cost of confining an inmate to death row, as compared to the maximum security prisons where those sentenced to life without possibility of parole ordinarily serve their sentences, is $90,000 per year per inmate. With California’s current death row population of 670, that accounts for $63.3 million annually.”

Using conservative rough projections, the Commission estimates the annual costs of the present (death penalty) system to be $137 million per year.

The cost of the present system with reforms recommended by the Commission to ensure a fair process would be $232.7 million per year.

The cost of a system in which the number of death-eligible crimes was significantly narrowed would be $130 million per year.

The cost of a system which imposes a maximum penalty of lifetime incarceration instead of the death penalty would be $11.5 million per year. - http://www.ccfaj.org/

The real problem is all the effin watchdog groups looking out for the criminal's "Rights" !!  :pissed

"Report of the California Commission on the Fair Administration of Justice". Isn't that kinda like AIG tellin' everyone that they we're/are financially viable? You know; we're OK 'cause we say so. :stupid

They forgot the "principal" of the matter! They killed, they die! "Prisoners" shouldn't get what the "everyday Joe" strives for in the trenches on a daily basis! Not to mention that people are losing their jobs, homes and in some instances, families, while we feed, doctor and house a bunch of worthhless POSs.JMO.

And I agree w/ya on the whole "prisoners' rights" BS. They don't have any until they choose to become a good-standing, law-abiding citizen. Again, JMO.

So Gman; does this mean I won't be gettin' your vote? You still upset that my Angels can beat your Doggers and then go on to lookin' like a bunch of stiffs against everyone else? :p

A perfect example of what I'm talking about:

$2.7M for settling inmate suits OK'd

By The Associated Press
Posted: 06/02/2009 08:08:36 PM PDT

Los Angeles County supervisors have approved $2.7 million in payouts to settle negligence and civil rights lawsuits involving former jail inmates, including one who died from a health problem.

The Board of Supervisors agreed Tuesday to pay $1.26 million in settlement money and legal costs to Franklin Silva, whose foot was amputated in 2005 after a toe infection spread.

About $670,000 will be settle a negligence suit by the family of Michael Buford, 32, who died from emphysema complications.

Supervisors also approved $800,000 in payments to Darryl Titus, who sued for false imprisonmen after he was falsely linked to car vandalism.

Funny; I've been accused of bein' a liberal everywhere I go. Just not of the "bleeding heart tribe" I guess. :p

I hear what you're sayin'. It really pi$$es me off to listen to some idiot(s) argue for the rights of some a$$hole who doesn't even deserve to walk the same paths that most people travel. What about the victims? Where were their "bleeding hearts" when the victims were being deprived of their "rights"?

The world in general has been turned upside down through apathy, greed, and ignorance and I think it time that if the government isn't going to do something constructive about it, the people need to. The next time you vote, think about and learn who you're voting for. The next time you hear someone bemoaning the poor prisoners plight, tell 'em to stuff it. Let 'em know that you're for pi$$ed about the state of affairs as they stand. Too many don't want to "stand and be accounted for". Screw that! Scream it from the rooftops!:angry

OK; enough this BS ranting! Back to the important things in life! GO ANGELS! DOGGERS SUCK! :p

Reminds me of the guy who retired and got a job as a Wal-Mart greeter.

First day on the job a very loud, unattractive, mean woman walked into Wal-Mart with her two kids yelling obscenities at them all the way through the entrance.

The Wal-Mart Greeter guy says "Good morning, and welcome to Wal-Mart.
Nice children you have there. Are they twins?"

The ugly woman stopped yelling long enough to say,"Hell no,  they ain't twins. The oldest one's 9 and the other one's 6.

Why the hell would you think they are twins? Are you blind, or just stupid?"

"I'm neither blind nor stupid", replied the Greeter."I just couldn't believe you got laid twice."

That was his last day....manager didn't think he was cut out for the job.  :laugh

Well It has been confirmed the plug was pulled on the guy, And now all the rights groups are saying it was wrong becuz he had a bad childhood and that is why he lock that lady in the trunk of his car and burned her to death, sick bastard. he got his calling. But what really pisses me off is the fact the news was saying what he got over and over for his last dinner, Heck My tax money brought his steak and all kinds of good stuff and my family has to make cut back to get by did anybody ask the lady that he burned to death what she had for her last dinner or did she even eat before he did her. He wouldn'y even get even a piece of bread if it was me.
