Gingrich's Group Offers 12 Solutions for America
Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich's political organization is offering 12 steps America should take to get the nation "back on the path to prosperity."
Gingrich is general chairman of American Solutions for Winning the Future, which he founded in 2007. The group has taken out a full-page ad in USA Today headlined "12 American Solutions for Jobs and Prosperity."
The ad, signed by hundreds of people from around the country, criticizes the "failed Washington model of bailouts, deficit spending and a bloated federal bureaucracy," and calls on President Obama and Congress to act immediately on these 12 measures:
* Create a payroll tax credit to help workers and small businesses. * Cut the 25 percent marginal tax rate to 15 percent. * Reduce the business tax rate. * Stabilize housing prices by providing tax credits so responsible home buyers can avoid foreclosures. * Control federal spending and move to a balanced budget. * End Medicare fraud by requiring states to adopt anti-theft and anti-fraud measures. * Develop more American energy. * Abolish taxes on capital gains. * Protect workers' right to vote in a secret ballot before being forced to join a union. * Replace the Sarbanes-Oxley law regulating corporations' accounting practices. * Abolish the death tax. * Invest in infrastructure, including a new electric grid.

The current system of government in your country provides no incentives at all to control spending. Â The system is biased against fiscal conservatism.
Perhaps that's why you haven't had a fiscal conservative elected to office in my lifetime.
So... Â what are the candidates offering and which will put the most in my pocket?
G. W. Bush was infinitely less conservative, fiscally, than Bill Clinton. Â Look at their records.
Politicians use terrorism, gay marriage, the death penalty, and other emotionally charged issues as a smoke screen while they spend, spend, spend. Â Executives should be incented based on controlling spending and balancing their budgets... Â like the rest of us.
OH MY GOD!!! What if gays are allowed to marry? We're going to Hell! ... but it's no big deal if my children have their opportunities clipped because of the trillions of dollars of debt we run up on our hand out programs.
If I run up a huge debt, I am penalized with crippled cash flow for years or decades. Â Administrations can do the same with no reprisal, all the while increasing their net worths and frequently handing huge sums of money to their chronies.
The system is broken.

Yeap, are system is Broke, in more ways than one. Our kids will eventually be paying 50% on income taxes alone. Buying a house was the American dream. Now it's a focking nightmare.

We're a little further ahead on the curve than you are so let me tell you how it goes.
Debt suffocates the economy. Taxes go up. Services are cut. Eventually, everyone forgets about the recession and money starts flowing through the economy.
Now... here's the fun part... taxes never go down. They might back sales tax down one or two points and make a big pickle hidin deal about it but I'll always be taxed at the 48% level, right off the pickle hidin top.
Delicious, don't you think?
