Hey Rod...how long a run (timewise) to Dallas...??  Looks like 1400mi one-way... :beat   I gotta take the box van over, leave it there, and return with a truck and boat... :good

Well you are right it is about 1400 miles and I made it staying the speed limit in 21 hours, but that was to FT Worth and Dallas is another hour or so.  You should make it back by Wed. if you left on Friday or Sat.

One other thing If you do over the speed limit in Mex. or Tex. they do use their radar coming toward you and they will flip a U and come and get ya :eek They pulled me over for doing 4 miles over :finger MOFO'S

Thanks...figured I'm good to go by leaving sometime tomorrow/Friday...thinking about taking the 40 over, and the 10 back.

Then packup and head back to Yuma for some river-time vacation... :D

You'll be happy to know, Shue, that Radar detectors are legal to use in Texas, however they may not be used in commercial vehicles.

Does the truck have commercial plates?


And laser jammers are legal to use in Texas too, if you got one.  :guns

Nah, we're not commerically tagged, except for the Peterbilt.

PJ just called and said the speed limit is 80 in Texas... :good    I don't think the box van will do that (maybe downhill)... :laugh

Are you going to try to travel during the day?

Speed limits change at night I think it is 65, in the day 80 for cars and trucks 60 at night and  70 or 75 in the day.
