Thinking about a RV tow box for the family and don't have a clue on what's available.  Just something to get out of town for a few days for some R'n'R.  :cool

No motorized toys (yet), just bicycles and stuff, but gotta have enough creature comforts so mama will come along.

Ideas/input welcome... :good

Whats the end result going to be, if there are toys how many? Also what are you towing with? you don't want to be "trading up" half way into it.

With fuel prices up there are  alot of two & three years olds for sale also.

some of the larger trailers are set up with 3 1/2 ton axles, others use 2 3/4 ton.

just my 2 cents :D

Thanks GFR....I'm gonna hit the RV places over the next few days...maybe look at renting one and see if that's the direction we want to go....I've just got a F-150 Supercrew with the 5.7 Triton, so that will limit me somewhat.

Hey Shu, one thing to keep in mind is that Toy-haulers are very "tongue" heavy when not loaded with toys.  I've known several people that have gotten rid of them because of this.

Also, if you want to keep the wife happy... two words... "slide out"...  :good  :D

One thing I don't like about them is they sit too high, I've seen them in moderate winds and they were moving around quite a bit!. :stupid Personally I'd rather have an enclosed trailer!. :good

I would look at conventional travel trailers or fifth-wheels if you really don't see yourself hauling toys around with it.  They are lower profile, easier to pull, and cheaper...  :good

I wasn't even looking.  My brother knew the guy, he asked me if I knew anyone that was looking for a TT... I din't even plan on buying it at first, until I ran the numbers and found out what it was worth...

I didn't get to use it this last summer, do to several issues, but either I'm going to find a place to park it at the lake, or I'm going to store the boat up there and pull the trailer back and forth...

Too long...  :rotflmao it's a 37 foot TT... nearly 40 with the toungue..  :eek

Whoever designed this beast knew what they were doing, almost all of the weight is right over the axles, pulls like a smaller trailer.  No swaying or wandering behind the truck, it just sucks in and trundles down the road.

Unfortunately, I can't pull the boat behind because it's not a fifth-wheel, and I would be waaaaaaaaaaay over length.  :D

No it don't, if you tow two boats there's no 5th wheel, just can't have the same hitch on both!.. ;)

I don't know how the Kaleeforkneea law reads, this is the AZ law....
