OK guys. I did it. I bought an outboard. It works really well for where I live though. Â
2005 Haynie Bigfoot 23' 2011 Evinrude E-Tec 200 2 Stroke Saltwater 2015 Aluminum trailer
So it's called a Bigfoot because it can start in 12" of water and run in 10". It's got fun toys for me like a Garmin Chartplotter/Fishfinder that connects to my VHF radio to send GPS coordinates in an emergency. The Garmin, also, receives data from the motor like fuel flow, temps, alarms, hour meter, etc. It runs very dry because the top joins the bottom with a huge lip that rolls the water back over. I don't have to touch the water to launch or pull it out. I almost always stand. The guys like to stand and the girls like to sit. Â It seats 6 and does around 45, but that is fine for around here. Â I've had it out 9 times so far this month. I can even boat on a work day as the ramp is like 2 minutes from home. Â
