The OtherSide - A Tribute to the Doors!
I truly took a trip back in time when I saw the OtherSide at Club 2000. Thirty years after the fact, we get our daily dose of the Doors studio works, but "live" work never gets airplay. There are plenty of bands covering the Doors today, but they usually just recreate the studio work we already hear. In come the OtherSide. As far as I was concerned, Jason Sanchez WAS Jim Morrison. When he welcomed us all to "the ghetto", I figured someone would get pissed off, but that is just the thing Jim Morrison would do in a "live" performance. When he repeatedly stepped off the stage and into the crowd, I knew I had to be prepared for anything. The other band members were superb as well. Eric Sanchez did a great job of "double duty" playing keyboards and keyboard bass. Dave Robinson's guitar sounded just like Robby Krieger's. Dean Gallucci, also, fit right in on drums. This is definitely a band not only to hear, but to SEE as this was a SHOW that I'll never forget! Thank you for my trip!
