I pulled the motor out of my jet boat for a little bit of clean up work this winter only to find (Thanks to Eagle Eye 87 Cole) a very nice CRACK in the wall of the #6 cylinder. :(  So B-4 I run off to the motor shop I was wondering if anyone know of a reliable shop in the OC area to pick up a new block :stupid

When was this?  I would have driven over for the festivities if I knew.  When is the next teardown party?

Yikes!!! Must have used Miracle Grow on the money tree. Might as well get in line to get your pump redone also :beer

Cool motor you will be pleased  :D Of course a good carb from Ty and a MSD type ignition set up will make it as Emril says "Happy Happy"

GFR, Bill bought the kit and I advised him to go the extra mile with the froged crank. He'll be picking up the block and all the goodies next week. This is the only way as we'll do the assembly and be able to verify all specs. I saw him yesterday and I don't think he can wait. It's like a kid in a candy store :good

I told him he'd have to tear it down and then you never know. Would end up costing more rather then doing it from scratch and know exactly what you have and feel good about it. :good
