Have been thinking about adding a pad to the boat. bottom now is similar to a bass boat, up around 80+ wants to do a little dancing. ya know rocks side to side reel soft. Was wondering how a pad might affected it Good or Bad? Will how wide the pad is make a big difference. Does it need to run more than 3' forward. Thought I'd ask before I reck my boat and have to start over. I know it's try and see what happens. But if some can save me some grief that would be good. So break out the crystal balls and show me the future   :eek  Thanks for the help

don't have a pic of the bottom. Boat is an intimidator, running a o/b. 10.5" of setback. What I mean by bass boat  :rolleys  is a rounded keel. 20' long prop is a 28 raker

Well, I don't know much about those, but a friend had a Champion, he used to do the "FISH" thing (new boat every year, best of everything, nice to have a sponsor) and his boat hauled ass, he took me for a ride in his and it went just under 90, man that was some scary shit, to me it seemed like it was ready to blow over at any time!. He said it couldn't run any better!. I told him he'd better not ever have a head wind!!. Seems like yours is running great but don't take my word for it!.  :eek  :eek  :rolleys

your right it does run great, but like everyone else would like it a little more stable, maybe some extra go. It's not a bass boat, the only fishing I do is speeeed trolling, or bikini trolling :p . Hull just looks like bass thing. sorry for misunderstanding.  ooops

You probably could add a trim tab on each side of the motor, I see a lot of O/B that have them?, does trimming the motor do anything??, what degree of V do you have?.. :confused

been gone for a little bit. (couple of bike shows) never thought about tabs. Would they add some extra lift? Just what i need something else to think about. I will have to check on angle of vee, will get back to you on that one.

No, it won't lift the boat but it will settle the nose down depending on how much down you have on the tabs. You adjust a 1/6" at a time until the boat settles down to where you want it... :)

I know what you mean, that is why I bought some land in miss right next to the gulf. It might blow a little but its warm. most of the time and it never gets below 0 and even if it would it would not last four months :p  can run the bikes boat and muscle car 90% of the time. Sounds like the nextbest thing to heaven  :D
