Quote (AZKC @ Jan. 17 2004,9:16 am) | I'm selling this intake for a friend. A guy wants to know if it will fit a tall deck  without spacers???
Ebay link to intake
So will it? |
Just to hear myself talk, and going out on a limb here, I would say no, he will need spacers.
Aren't the cylinder heads farther apart on the tall deck because of the extra .4 inch deck height??
Here's what I found on World's web site:
"Intake Manifolds: When using 10.200 deck height block, an intake manifold designed for a “Tall Deck†must be used or spacers can be made or bought to adapt a standard deck intake (9.800) to the 10.200 deck height block."

Nope, will not fit tall decks, the LS6 was not a tall deck, only the "TRUCK" blocks were tall decks. To use that on a tall deck, you have to use spacers!..

If that manifold is virgin no porting or gasket match, it's worth more than that. That's what the SS guys have to use, you might want to spread the word to them, I'm sure someone will snatch it up from ya!..
