Quote (AZKC @ Jan. 23 2004,8:58 am) | Very nice, the guy does awsome work. How many gallons? Also is that a shape you designed? And why? Are you trying to keep the weight back to the rear of the boat? Â |
Thanks, yeah he does tanks for Eliminator and all those big boats, he ships all over the country and if you take your boat to him, he'll custom fit tanks to your boat!.
Mine are 30 gals, I got the idea from this GN racer (which is the same boat as mine)so I designed them similar, there's a little difference though but they look cool. That is the proper location for them in that boat, they start right at the front of the motor. Also if you wanted to put them forward, you'd have to cut part of the support stringers!...

Quote (87 Cole @ Jan. 23 2004,9:16 am) | The tanks look like 20 gallons each? I have two 15 gallon stainless tank round. Are you going to use fuel caps through the side of the hull or will you be filling from inside the boat directly into the tank. |
They are 30gals, no filler caps on the boat, that's ugly, the filler is on the tank!..

Nothing tackey, should have mentioned it!. For both tax included $582!.. That's half of what Imco charges!..

Mike, they are up by the airport on the right, you can see the sign on the building, no street name but there's a sign that says land fill, he's right beside Eliminator!....I was going to let you know I was coming out but I had to be back by noon so it was a quick turnaround!..

Thanks Craig, that block (it's actually 2 pieces) is what the strut is mounted to, it's a drop thru strut, the block is bolted to the floor and the strut comes up thru the floor and bolted to the block, there are covers that cover all those holes so it looks sanitary. It sits directly behind the motor and there will be a support going across that will bolt to the stringers!..
