Scored a set of so called fresh 781 casting heads on EBay for around $270 with shipping. Be able to get the blue canoe going a little ahead of schedule :jumpie

Congrats, get that thing runnin' and we'll meet at Canyon! Does it have good valves in it, Severe Duty intakes and Inconel exhaust? Need some  :D

The guy didn't know alot about them. I'll have to ck them out when I get them. If everything goes smooth end of Febuary looks like a easy goal to reach.

You have a few valves laying around :D or a hook up.

Fedex Ground for around $95 delivered to a business addy seems the best so far.

When I picked up all the parts for my 502, all the stuff had about 20 hours on it. The guy reused his Merlin heads but went with huge valves, so he threw in the Severe Duty intakes and the Inconel exhaust. I reused my heads from the 454 which already had the good valves in them. I knew the boat the engine came out of since it was new, so I know what kind of time was on the equipment.

Nope on the LTL, thats a UPS Ground quote :eek and if you do home delivery with FedEx they knock your head off also. Sending them to my old work and I'll pick them up there. :)

Finally worked out the shipping on the heads having them sent to my old work address for around $95.00 instead of to my house for around $150.00. He can't get to a Fedex till Friday so I'll have to sit and wait another couple weeks :(
