Dropping by Larry's Engine and Marine this AM. See if he can save the head that stuffed the intake, if not I found a virgin 049 casting in my stash and he can just swap over the valves and springs to it :rolleyes

Next pop out the damaged piston to see if I can find a match. If not on to plan :stupid  :stupid I think I'm on about plan G buy now :D

Well Wayne at Larry's got a little chuckle when I showed him the hurt head :p So I gave him the bare one to swap parts to and it should be about a week.

The piston is a stock one, so like GFR said should not be a big deal. Just got to get it out to start the search, try and do that tonight. :comp

If you run out of heads, I've got a pair up here off the yellow boat that would really bring your engine to life, at least for the 5 minutes that it runs anyway.   :rotflmao  :beer  :good  :D

I don't know about that.I've heard some horror stories from there.I know Larry himself does excellent work, and I too have a friend that worked there and if you have his flunkies working on your stuff beware.I use Eddies Inboard and Marine myself.

That's Eddie's.He's a one man shop.He doesn't have a machine shop as far as engine machinery but has a cnc mill, lathe, band saws and other assorted equipment. He will do some work on outboards and jets but is mainly a v-drive shop.

He's at Speedway and Wilmot. For outboards you might try Porter's Marine. Both are in the phonebook.
