I thought I would add my trailer painting project to the tech threads here. I took me about a week of prep work two days of spraying and about fifty dollars worth of paint to complete the job. I used PPG Omni paint and was real happy with the results. The only complaint I had was that the primer did not level real well but you end up sanding it out anyway.


Priming with a rust stop primer where I wire wheeled the rust spots off

Primed with the PPG Primer

Finished inside my make shift spray booth

Finished Trailer

I had the boat up at Miller getting some gel repair. But after seeing how easy it was to remove it from the trailer I think I will do it myself next time. It took only three of us to slide it off the dolly onto the trailer. Once you get the engine and jet out they move really easily.
