We're going to look at a Mastercraft 190 Standard this week-end.  Boat looks clean, from the street.  It's 19' with a 350 w/direct drive, fat sacs, wake tower, new interior, etc.  Owner says it has 560 hours on the orig motor.

Price seems right at $12k OBO.  Any advice on "watchouts", what to look for, etc..??  I am going to ask for a test run....'

Thanks..!!

Looks really clean could be a good deal, :good But you never know, need to look beyond the cosmetics. Have him pop the sub floor and take a look down there for cracks and the hardware, check the shaftlog where the propshaft comes up for signs of leakage and look at the rudder, move it around it shouldn't have any slop in it, also the seal in the stuffing box. Check the steering at the rudder, make sure it's all nice and tight!.. Motor looks clean but check all the plumbing, if it needs to be replaced it's something to consider in the price. Pull the dipstick and see what the oil looks like, if he just changed it take a breather cap off and look inside the valve cover, it should be nice and clean!.. If all checks out take it for test drive and run it hard and see what the motor sounds like, when you come down to an idle it should run smoothe and quiet!.. :good

BTW, what kind of boat is under that cover next to it!.. :stupid  :)

It's a pure ski boat for sure...no storage anywhere..!!  The guy got an offer for $11.5 and called us with first dibs...bro said....NOPE.... :rolleyes

I just saw this thread so I'm kind of slow. Looks like the Bro-in-Law missed out on a good deal. One thing to consider with both Mastercraft and Correct Craft ski boats is if they are faded, no problem. The gel coat colors on those boats is thicker than any other. If you can't buff it out, they color sand to just like new.

Carbon Monoxide poisoning kills boaters.  Take the time to learn about it and how to avoid it.

That seemed like a real good deal. Those boats always seem to pull top dollar.
