Well since my rocker arm nuts gave up the ghost and wouldn't hold adjustment on about 4-6 valves. Time for an upgrade.

Looks good :good Did you make sure the studs have a flat surface??, usually factory ones aren't flat and the damn set screw won't hold, normal procedure is to grind them flat, I just get aftermarket ones screw it!.. :D  :good

Anymore this gas station skunk piss you get don't last much more than 30 days, it even starts to smell different. If you leave gas sit, you need to add some Sta-Bil to it, I use it in my dually if it's going to sit for a while and it works great!. :good  You must be right on borderline of things getting nasty, lucky you got it running in time, once you run that stuff out it should be ok. Wouldn't hurt to throw a little Avgas in, help it run better until you run that stuff out!.. :good

Also you can put some Acetone(3oz to 10gal)in, that cleans the system out and make it run better, oh and it will kill the stink too!.. :D

Seats are in OK shape I'm having problems keeping them bolted to the floor. I'm going to look for some sort of toggle or molly bolt setup. The bolts keep pulling out of the floor, probably just my fat ass is to much for them :laugh

These are ARP rocker studs, got it fired yesterday.  :good Changed the fuel filter it was about 50% restricted. I'm going to put a fuel/water seperator on it. Saw one on Overtons fro about 30 bucks with a spin on filter. Should do the trick.

Don't know how it works on a 2 stroke but I can't see any harm in it, try it and see what happens you can use it all the time as a regular additive!..

Bob, there's a shit load of articles on Acetone as an additive, here's one of them, just do a search for "Acetone in Gas"!.. They say it increases gas mileage but I've done a test on two of my vehicles (a month each) and neither vehicle has gained in mileage, I've even played around with different timing settings and still no difference, and I know some other people that have tried it with the same results!. But it sure made a diference in how it idles, I couldn't believe it BBC's got to be the worst for idling after running a long distance and then come to an idle, but it was smoothe as can be. And when I took it in for the BS smog crap, I could not believe how clean it was, they even asked me how in the heck did I get a 73 dually to run so clean, I just told them "I just tune it", LOL.. The wife's Toyota P/U was cleaner than when we first bought it brand new in 86 and it's got 350,000 on it!.. The way I figure it what it does is cleans the whole fuel system along with the valves and combustion chambers!.. But you have to be careful when you buy the stuff you have to make sure that it says "100%" on the can for it to work properly!.. :good
