Quote (MrCord @ Jan. 30 2006,11:51 am) | Hey... Â So what advantage does a 3 speed tranny give me with a cassale v drive ??? Â On a 25 foot cruizer? |
On that size boat it's pretty much mandatory, you'll need low gear around the dock area and for stopping. You use second gear for taking off, makes it easy to get up on plane instead of pulling the motor down and draggin the ass end with the nose up trying to get up on plane, saves on gas too!..

Quote (MrCord @ Jan. 30 2006,1:10 pm) | Still thinking about defecting the V-Drive side from Jet... Â But I want something that will still hold my friends, and get better gas mileage! Â
Pulling a wakeboarder wouldnt be bad either!
What do you think?
IM ACCEPTING ALL INPUT!!! |
Well I take it that's the boat you were talking about a TH400!. Those are a cool boat and they do work good and you definitely want a tranny in it!.. You might check out the Classifieds, I posted an ad for a friend of mine and it is family friendly, and I know the boat and it is top quality thoughout!... Another option is if you don't mind doing some TLC, here's a give away, If I had the $$$ right now I'd be all over it!..
Take a ride in any of these and you wouldn't want no wakeboarder that's for sure!..
