My business partner has a  stock 2000 7.4 MPI mercruiser and wants too add a super charger or some crap to his 2000 21' shockwave. I'm guessing cast pistons. Anybody know for sure? You will help settle a lunch bet.

I was thinking cast, but looking at the 340hp replacement pistons prices of +/- $150 each :eek Gota be forged and gold plated :D

I don't know about the 2000 models, but I've seen earlier ones that came both ways depending on the performance options?? :stupid But then again the ones I saw weren't new either and could have been rebuilt using forged pistons!.. :rolleyes  I'm sure $150 a piece includes rings(usually sold as a kit)and that would put it in the price range for forged!..
