Anyone have the defuser ring removed from their prop? any speed gain? I've heard over 2mph gain on cat boats

I should get the prop back, the same prop i ran 81mph-gps
had it labbed [ rec lab] and ring removed, I'll post what happens. Was turnning 54-5500 rpms looking for 58 chip is in @ 6000 rpms :rolleyes

took the boat out today with the labbed 26p with the ring removed. ran 81 mph. plained at 3500rpm stayed on plane to 2600 rpm. pulled very hard 3000rpm to 5000rpm and from 5000 to 5600 w.o.t. ran 72 mph-gps @ 5000 rpm and 59mph @4000rpm :good  :fouet
