So brother Sleek and I rebuilt the carburator on the Eliminator. Â After chasing problems and trying to get a couple ancient double pumpers going, we went with Proform parts.
I had a proform carb body that I had planned to put on the Cutlass, but then never got around to it. Â We purchased the base plate and the two meter plates and used the fuel bowls off one of the old carbs.
Anyway, it runs fine at speed, but horribly rich at idle... what's the procedure for tunning the idle with 4 idle bleed screws??

Can't believe I missed this one, LOL!. Ok, I've never used Proform stuff so I may be off on this??, but 4 idle is adjusted like any other deal you just have 4 screws, do you have any adjustment in the screws at all, in other words will it still run if you turn the crews all the way in??.

Actually it would. Â Â Found a carb guru here in town and picked his brain a bit.
The Proform body has the replaceable air bleeds... the air bleeds we had in there were way to big, changed them out to much smaller ones and she idles really nice now...
