Well, since it was free I guess you can't complain, they're not a high performance piece so just put a stock motor in it and use it. Since you're not familiar about these things, I highly suggest taking it in and have the pump checked out, could save ya a bundle down the road!... Oh, and be ready to buy a lot of gas!..

I owned a 21' hawaiian with a panther jet. Sold her about 4 years ago....and only to get something more family friendly. Although I was always wrenching on it I never did have to touch that panther jet. I ran it with a 360AMC motor and did nothing to the panther for the 7years I owned it. Enjoy...

Well, when you take care of it and run it in water instead of the ground, no reason why it shouldn't perform for years. I had a neighbor once that had a Southwind for 10 years, never had a problem either!..

Quote (DirtySquirty @ May 10 2009,12:06 pm) | I'm keeping my opinions to myself on this one, since it seems as though this is just gonna be a runabout type of jet......although alot can be lost at the pump, performance wise, if leaking badly. Â |
I know what you're thinking, and you're right!. But it is all about efficiency!...

OK, OK.....Why's everybody always pickin' on me?? Â
Jets can be made somewhat efficent....kinda....for awhile... Â |
At least until you start them. |
now wait a minute...
...ok that was about a minute.
My jets are about as efficient as they make 'em. But then again, it's a whole 'nother species of jet....and with two you get eggroll!

2 jets and one tank is much better than one jet a 2 tanks.
