This is the same weekend as the Needles Big Block thing.
New TV show called The BBQ Pit Masters to air on Thursday night at 10:00 PM on TLC. This is the series they started taping up in Mesquite, Duel in the Desert. Â Its about the KCBS sanctioned professional BBQ competitions across the country. Â I think their are seven or so events they taped in total for the first season. Â This is what HAVA BBQ will be, only bigger. Â Wish I knew how to get this out to all of Havasu. Â

I'd like to see some of these BBQ's up close. $20-$30K and up for a focking BBQ, you gotta be kidding.
That would be one reason I would like to go and check it out. We went to a BB-Q challenge at Avi a couple years back. most of them had simple run of the mill Home Depot setups. One dude had one of them $50 Binkman smokers. I have one that works real good.

One guy on Pit Masters had a regular everyday Weber BBQ. He got last place in every category. I'm guessing that there is a reason these guys are spending big bucks on a BBQ.

The dude that finished dead last every time finally removed his cranium from his butt and asked one of the seasoned pros for some help with what he was doing wrong.

Maybe that will help...........
Yeah like that was gonna help. He should go to his BBQ school. It's only $750 per day.
