Main Street Mardi Gras Parade: Feb16
Theme: Mardi Gras! Green, Gold and Purple Decorations and Beads strongly recommended! Entry Deadline: Friday, February 12, 2009. Mail to:1990 McCulloch, Ste. D-201, LHC, AZ 86403 with $15 cash, or check made to LHC Main Street. Staging Area: City Parking Lot behind Birch Square (Old Shakespeare Inn). Time: Floats must check in between 4:00-4:30pm. Floats checking in after 4:30pm will not be judged. Show Time: The Parade will begin at 6PM on Tuesday, February 16, 2010. Parade Route: Approximately 1 mile slightly downhill on McCulloch Blvd. Awards: Judging of all entries except floats will be done during the parade from one viewing area. Awards will be presented at the Stage at Pima Wash directly after the parade. Music: Music is highly recommended to enhance the appeal of your float. General Info: All floats must have a fire extinguisher. All floats and decorations must be of fire retardant material. Questions? Please call the fire department at 453-3313, ask for the Fire inspector. Judged Entry Categories: Floats: Commercial Floats, Non-Commercial Floats, Youth Floats ( A float entry by a youth group, organization, school, etc. - ages up to 18 years old) Vehicle Entry: Any vehicle or vehicle group. Drill teams: Organized, uniformed, precision groups (can include motorized vehicles). Judging will be based on showmanship, parade alignment and dress. Bands: Any musical group. Must move forward only.
