Quote (Fragile Magic @ June 06 2010,9:49 pm) | Sounds like a great day! Â Not too much traffic from your pics, and the water was nice and calm too!
I'm sure it was choppy in the canyon, the waves in there just bounce off the walls and come back at you!
If that rock up top is underwater, then I am sure that sandy beach is also....bummer.... |
Traffic wasn't to bad untill about 10am. then they were showing up in droves. buy 11:20 it was getting rough so we packed it in and headed home.
In the 5th post you can see a pontoon beached. I don't remember any kind of beach along there.
Debris was all over the place. what you think is a small piece of bark or something could be a branch. We saw logs about 5-6ft long and about 6-8 inches in diameter floating. There was what looked to parts of a wood'n fence floating near the bridge. We did a lot of dodging of crap.

Damn that water level is high. I go to Canyon all the time and yes those half floating trees can get ya...or at least your prop. Best lake in AZ to take the kids.

I would just take "getting on the water" at this point... |
You and me both May have an oppurtunity this weekend  |
I got birthin' class on Saturday, really need to work on the Bimmer on Sunday... next two weekends I work...
Maybe sometime next year?
BTW, did Becky get her invite?
