So, how is this gonna work? Most everyone is leaving Friday morning I take it, so where should us 909'ers meet everyone coming from OC, LA, etc? And what time? Thanks!!!! -DD Out
PS: Dougie, I am gonna e mail you a few pics from Wed, and maybe you can post em, or adjust the size, or etc. Thanks...-D

DD, RTJas is in charge of the caravan and he's actually going to come up with a timeline of where it will be throughout the morning. I think there will be brunch somewhere after your house. 
Cool on sending me the pics.  I'm posting remotely right now so I don't have access to my image software. I should be able to get those posted later on this evening during our beer drinking deal.

OK Windy, we'll get in touch with Randy. The CB's may not be necessary if everyone gets a GMRS/FRS radio. You can get a pair of them at Walmart or Target for $30. If enough peeps have sets, they can share with everyone else. I told KH he can use my other one, but it's still nice to have 2. When the batteries on one die, you have a backup.  Mine don't have a jack for cig lighter charging.  Mine use NiCad's but I can throw some regular AA Alkalines in them if I have to.

Brad, thats why you and Smiley should come down the night before, and just crash at the house. HD, I will meet everyone out in front of the Toyota dealership in Riverside, which, if you take the Auto Center Dr exit off of the 91, make a left on Indiana, and go down about a block or 2, it is on the right. I will just park the truck and boat on the side of the road in front, so you can see me. My cell is 909-545-9726. -DD Out

I would love to but we are picking up our new camper on Thursday afternoon and then bringing it home. We will have to unload it and I will want to play with it for a while. So I think that we will be to busy Thursday night. We might get up early and drive down. But if I remember correctly it took about four hours to get to the 909 from our house. How long does it take to get from there to Havasu? Â

My friends, you are not going to like this answer, but, if it took you roughly 4 hours to get from your house to here, it will take you at least another 4 to get from here to Havasu, and that is a boatload (no pun) of driving. Are you sure that you cant figure something else out? And are you bringing the camper to Havasu, or just staying somewhere else? If you are not bringing it, my advice would be to forget the playing with the new toy for now (I know its hard) and get out of Solvang as early as you can. -DD Out

We are not bringing it we are mooching some couch space from Doug and his place.
Lindsey did a few map quest searches and one came up at 6.5 hours to havasu from here. If that is accurate we may go that route solo. I would love to caravan with you guys but I guess that’s the price we pay for living in the sticks.

we considered flying but according to the online maps we are only really looking at a 7 to 8 hour drive and we can handle that...it takes us 8 to get to Mammoth and we are used to that drive....if we leave early in the AM Friday (ie: 6am) we'd be there in plenty of time to party Friday night with ya
I agree that I'd like to get half way there Thursday night, but I also know that it would be pushing it...I'll leave it up to Miller...as he's the one doing all the driving.
