If anyone saw the crash or knows of an eye witness, please email me. No "I heards" or "so-and-so told me...", please. We're still unsure of exactly what happened, and any help is appreciated.

The accident happened about 6:25 PM Friday, September 19th, in front of Rio Lindo Shores/Sundance.

I'll have more info at a later date, but at this point, it's still under investigation, and there's not much I can release.

Here's the latest posted over at the Kwicherbichen Forums;
"A hot board members son was killed and 3 others (guy and 2 girls) in his boat last night at dusk. It happened on the blind turn by Fox's. It collided with another boat. I know they were searching for a body and there was another that was in the hospital. Speeds were unknown. One boat was a jet the other a GN boat. From what rumors say, one of the boats was traveling on the wrong side of the river. Thats all the info I can give. Sad day for all the families. "

I know, it's all speculation at this point until the facts are in. My heartfelt prayers go out to those involved and their families.

This is really frustrating not knowing who the involved parties are, but I realize that factors, such as notifying family members, need to be considered first.

well if a wrong way boat on the river is what caused this accident, it doesn't surprize me in the least. I have been going to the river all my life, and 20% of the time while at my river house I see these fast boats going by on the wrong side of the river all of the time. I could never figure that one out. :stupid

Well I hope GOFASTRACER is ok. Riverratmike and I saw him on Tuesday around 12:00 at Red Rock. He hadn't been racing at that time. We were talking about racing. I REALLY REALLY hope he is ok. I think he is coming home this weekend. I REALLY hope he posts something soon so we can see he is ok.

Like RRM said, you see it all the time. I dont know how many times someone has cut right in front of me, without even turning their head to look beforehand. These are almost always preventable accidents that should never happen. And people still ask me why I hate the Parker strip/Havasu on the weekends, and almost never go???? Godspeed. -DD Out
