god wish I could go with you guys. I used to go el mirage every single weekend for dirtbike riding back in the late 80's and early 90's had some really big parties out there also. One time I did a speed run in my el camino on that lake bed and got busted by BLM. I was going over 115 mph when he saw me then he pulled me over. I didn't get a ticket or anything but this guy was mad at me and gave me a serious talking to.

Those were some good old times Doug! I've got a ton photos from those trips to El Mirage and Cuttyback dry lake. But I don't have a scanner. I remember very well went I got to drive your told Toyota across the lake bed with all the lights and sirens going and you stood lake side watching. That memory really sticks in my head even today!

What size rockets are we talking about here? I'm familiar with the Estes "schoolyard" variety, but have seen some crazy fockers shooting 10' rockets 30,000 feet in the air on tv. Which is it or is it somewhere in between?

Our rocket engines are Areotech G eninges and below. We have a 6 foot rocket which use to be like 8 feet and it is Ray Boys and then we go down in size from there.

It has beeb hard for us to get engines because Areotech blew up last year and the engines have been hard to come by.

When we plan another FUN DAY out at El Mirage anyone intrested in riding and launching?????????

I would have been down with that, but I sold my Yamaha last week....
