Thought about a trip up North to See how it's done in NorCal?  I can guarantee ya's that you would have water conditions like you've rarely seen before and the sheer numbers of Hot Boats up here is just mind boggleing.

2 events that come to mind is the Mothers Day weekend bash at Lake Berryessa, and then the King of all events, the Father's Day Weekend Event at Camp Far West where you see everything from peddle boats to 170mph Blown Alcohol Burning Hydros. :bowdown
Put it on your calender and plan to make it up this way at least once this summer.  I'd be glad to Head out to Camp Far West on ANY weekend that anyone decided to come up on.  Keep in mind that there is also 5 races scheduled for this year at Camp Far West and ANYONE can race, from the Jet Ski's on up.... Anyone ever wondered what they run in the 1/4 mile?  Come on up and find out!

Best of Luck!  :)

I've been trying to get these southern cal folks up to CENTRAL cal and that has proven to be a tough job...now and then I get a few folks that come to visit...but I want the WHOLE GANG to come up this summer for Miller's B-day and I'm hoping some of the Northern Folks will come down for it  :good

Would love to but it's got to be a 12 hour drive from here?? :( , that means Fri and Mon driving, that means the wife would have to use up vacation time and that would screw up Needles and Red Rock, not to mention the fortune in gas!. :angry Just can't see it for just a weekend deal!.. :(

Hi,

My Father lives 1 mile from the Camp Far West Dam... CFW is a pretty Nice lake in a Country atmoshpere. I have not been there for Fathers day as of yet. I Ran my boat this past 4th of July and had a blast. If you get a chance you need to make it up in to the inlet gets a little narrow but if you dont draw too much water you'll be ok. Also CFW is known for it Low/Hi water levels due to irrigation for the surrounding Farmers so make sure you check out the conditions.

I know I am a Newbie to you all but a fathers day trip would be real fun for abvious reasons... I would make the 8 hr drive to see my Pop and hopefully get together and meet msome of you nice folks!

BH?  WHat's that? :stupid

Yeah, see if we can hook up next time.  We are out at CFW almost every weekend.  I think that the boat we took last July 4th was the orange one that I have listed here in the classified section.

ah nice! Good looking ride...  "BH"... I call my boat the "Bannana Hammock" because of the yellow 70's color with maroon flake. inside joke I guess. Need a better name eventually.

I'll try for Fathers day weekend, my Dad always bitches because of the drags. lol! he is literaslly down the road. He is getting into Jets though, I have been taking him out and it seems like he is having a positive experience now.

You come up though Lincon, Sheridan, or Wheatland?

Mike

I go through Lincoln, take Gladding road until it ends on Rioso rd make a right until it ends at McCourtney, make a left on McCourtney and follow it to the South Shore Gate :D   It is the quickest way and no traffic whatsoever.  Seems to cut about 20 minutes off my driving time versus going through Sheridan or wheatland.

Odd hearing someone talking about my old stomping grounds... Dads Ranch is right off CFW rd. and my step Moms place is off of McCourtney rd. up from of Cal Worthington's Ranch.

Nice Area, I rememeber when Lincon was just a Stip with a Feed Barn. :stupid

I'd love to head north for a weekend or a mini 4 day vacation or something.  But unfortunatly, I don't know anyone else that is crazy enough to take the trip.   :rolleyes   But then again, I don't own a boat and rarely have to pull one, so I can be a little more spare of the moment and fly by the seat of my pants.  :D

If I can ever get HD to go north, we will let you know.  Maybe I can talk him into a north road trip with the boat.  Take the coast up to the Millers, hang out for a day or two, then take the 5 inland to your area and hang out for a day or two then the maybe hit Laughlin, Havasu, or parker on the way back.  :stupid.  It's a long trip that would take us all over, but it sounds fun :D    :jumpie   I'm sure I'm dreaming, but that's still legal...  I think :stupid  :D
