OK, Here's the deal with RWYB IV.....The original date we were shooting for was March 25th, 26th, 27th...The reason that weekend was picked was to accomodate some peeps that asked for a date as late as possible so they could get their boats ready....well....as it turns out, there is no guarantee for any weekend in March. Cranes is in a holding pattern for their camp/beach usage.....They are undergoing some upgrades which are not allowing them to book reservations for any weekend. They are waiting on the city to show up and do their thing....that's something that they have been told could happen tomorrow, or maybe next week, or even next month....because of that, they are not scheduling anything til thursday or friday before any weekend until the work is done....I propose that we wait a little longer and see if Cranes get their work done and schedule the event for the weekend of April 1st, 2nd and 3rd or just do a day thing on March 26th.
The only other place available at Elsinore is the City Ramp/Park as the West Marina does not allow camping (only RV's). If we move to another site, then I'd say that we should have it the 1st weekend in April so those who are trying to get things together can test their boats.
Sorry it has taken so long to get this info, but it took a while to get the right person over at Cranes as the old couple who have been managing the park are no longer there.

Hey Scott, are going to this event? I'm going to try to make it. I will have just graduated. I think I deserve to blow off a little steam.

I can see Lake Elsinore from my master bedroom window and it is extremely high. One of the palapas on the beach is almost completely under water. The only issue is no one can get on the lake at all right now for some unknown reason.
This is my first year living in Elsinore...so stupid question. What is RWYB. I am guessing run what ya brung. I am interested since we are so close.

From what I read on HB, the lake has some pollution from all the run-off upstream.....Canyon Lake is also closed to body contact at the moment...plus there's alot of floating debris. Â Angie made have more info....
Somebody took some recents pics.....the beach at Crane's is GONE.... Â HotBoat Thread

Yea, the neighbors have been saying the bacteria levels are too high for body contact because of the water spilling into the lake. I have a jet boat but not the kind you are thinking of. It is a Yamaha AR 230 twin jet, wakeboard boat. Love it, but not really fast Great boat though and we will definitely come out and check it out. It would be great to meet everyone from this board.

There is a website called elsinoremagazine.com . It has all kinds of interesting info. on the politics of what is going on in town. The conspiracy theory on this site is that the city officials have closed one of the spillways that helps drain the lake and that is why it is extremely high. May not be true but it a funny site to check out.
