:drink :beer  We will going to parker and staying at the Blue water hotel casino!! On Sun 4/03 till thursday! Are there any suggestions on where to cruise and day camp in Parker this is our first trip there!! Cant WAIT!!! :jumpie  :drink  :good  :beer

My personal favorite spot to hang out is the "upper" sand bar which is upriver (EVERYTHING is upriver from the Bluewater) on the California side directly across from the Sundance.  Just for fun, you might as well go all the way North to the Parker Dam so you can see everything.  The "lower" sand bar is directly across from the Bluewater and peeps gather there too. :D

Another cool thing to see is the "Keys" which is a small community on canals on the Arizona side.  There are 2 entrances to it.  Cruising those canals is sort of like riding in the Pirates of the Carribean. :good

Parker is great boating.  Do as HD mentioned and you'll be fine.  The Parker strip is only 12 miles long dam to dam.  There are a couple of bars on the river too.  Grab a beer and lunch as you hang out and watch the boats go by.  

Be aware of the no-wake zone as you leave the marina at Blue Water.  It extends pretty far after you leave the marina, kind of desceptive.  Lots of peeps think that it ends when you leave the marina and it actually goes about five-ten minutes further upriver.
