Hey All I'm brand New to the site.... haven't been to Havasu in like 8 years.... I heard july 4th is a mellow weekend to be out there, but where should I go hang out?:confused

Welcome Aboard :beer The Channel and Sandbar are restricted on holiday weekends. Lots of people have been going to the Mini-Sandbar thas south of the main sandbar, also Steamboat is popular. Then there is allways Copper Canyon and all its crazies :drink

I wouldnt call it mellow for the 4th... But those places are good suggestions...  My favorite is hanging in the gorge!  There are a bunch of little beachs there and you can pull off and bbq!  

Just dont plan on wakeboarding or anything unless you are out there at 7 am, it gets super choppy.

Mini sand bar...... Thats the right channel ... when the lake splits by reeds, north the landing right? also the gorge east side south of thompson? Never heard of Steamboat. Jez Feels like forever since I been there. ps thanks for the info :bowdown
