I finally got some time off, so it's off to Havasu for me and the Mrs.

I have not been to Havasu/Parker in almost 9 years, so I am a little rusty on my fun spots.

The last time I was in Havasu was for the 1995 Rolling Thunder Hot Boat Regatta in an 18' jet.  Needless to say I did not go much farther that Copper Canyon (dang near killed me) and made the Poker run.

I am now in a 26' Commander and feel like seeing a little more (o.k. A LOT MORE) of the lake. i.e. - Sand bar, Topock, The Gourge, also down stream stuff. I hear of these places and many others, but have never actually been there.

Does anybody have any good suggestions on what I might try to plan out?

Of course there will have to be a bar here and there :D

I scored a freebie at the Queens Bay Resort so I will be right down by the Canal.

I am also new to the board (as if you didn't know by me meager post count) and hope to meet with some of you some day.

If you are going to be out next weekend let me know.

I will try to post a pic of the boat:

Sounds like you already have an idea of what's around. Some people go to Havasu Springs for breakfast or lunch. It's down south, just past the Parker dam.

Not too far. It's about 20-25 miles. If you drive to Havasu through Parker, you will pass it on the road just before you cross the Bill Williams bridge.

i'm going to guess that it's about the same distance, and well woth the trip. You just need to watch the water or follow somebody .

Running up through the Gorge to Topock is the best... :good
Lots of places to stop and kick-back... :drink
Should be no probs in your 26...just follow someone else up the mouth....
