We are planning a trip to Lake San Antonio next weekend  (18th,19th, and 20th) and would like to invite the HD crew. If you are up for spending a weekend camping right on the water next to your boat and hanging out with us and the 87Cole’s please join us.

Notice the nice smooth water?

Hey Boards, It's an awesome lake. Huge and deep just outside of Paso Robles off HWY 101. Here's a link and hope you can make it :beer  :drink

Heading up Thursday night till Sunday. It's about 41/2 to 5 hours from you maybe shorter depending on how you drive. Hope you and Linda can make it :good

I'm not sure exactly how deep, but when the NashvilleBound's where here visiting their boat said 80 feet deep at one point so I'm 99.9% sure that it's PLENTY deep for your boat  :D

If you need directions I can e-mail you a map...let me know what your e-mail address is.  :good

well i got out a map last night and after consulting it and my activities director i got denied :( basically on the grounds that the place is farther from here than the river. so we're gonna stick to plan "A" i guess and go to the river that week end. So, the river won't suck but i'm bummed i won't git to hang out with you guys. sooner or later though :beer

That's a bummer...the Nashville's made it in 6 hours from Valley Center (which I think is near San Diego Area) :)

Brad & Lindsey. We'll be up late Thursday night around midnight. I guess I'll find you somewhere on the south shore. I'll give you guys a call this evening or tomorrow. Looking forward to some nice water and not 3' chop like Parker or Havazoo :beer

You may want to try the North Shore! You will have an easier time finding us there.  :good

The camping at the south shore is up on a hill and you need to get a slip at night or pull your boat out every night. The north shore has the camping on the water. :drink

Nacimento has way more coves and is probably a prettier lake.

San Antonio South Shore is by the marina and you camp up on the hill. If you go over to North Shore you can camp right on the water. That is probably the biggest benefit being able to have your boat right there at the camp site. San Antonio use to have less people than Nacimento but I think that has changed.

Come on up and join us! :beer

OK, I'm putting some serious thought into making a bonzai run up there late Thursday night, spending Friday on the lake, and racing home EARLY Saturday morning.  I have to work Saturday at 1 PM. :D

Doug, I hope you can pull this off. The dive is a about 40 minutes farther the going to Havasu. You can make the drive and leave your boat at home. We'd love to have you join us :beer  :beer  :drink

What time would you head up on Thursday night?
