Well, finished Day 3 of my run from Toronto, Canada back to SoCal. Â Started the day just east of Denver at 4:30AM and finished it just outside of St George, Utah around 6:00PM.
Lots of driving, and lots of beautiful country. Â If you EVER get the chance, take the I-70 from the I-15 over to at least Green River...amazing sights to see.:
The Eisenhower Tunnel at 11,692 feet...
Rest Stop at some 10,000 feet...
The Colorado River, just down from the source lake...
Another, further down the canyon...
Shooting through a wet windshield...the river's on the left...they had 6 inches of rain in 5 hours last night...
Just jaw-dropping vistas all around you as you come west on the I-70...quite a few climbs to above 7,500 as well...
Bill Gates Wallpaper stuff...
Found something older than me...I think Art planted it....
Just AMAZING vistas in Northern Utah...if I would have stopped to take all the pictures I wanted, I'd still be out there...ya gotta see it to believe it... Â

Quote (Trailer Park Casanova @ Aug. 04 2007,9:19 pm) | Nice Pix Shoe. We just did a near same run and included Monument Valley. |
Wish the run was not "time bound" so that I could have seen more of that Northern Utah area...

Nice pics! Â The Eisenhower tunnel is pretty cool. Â I had never been in a tunnel like that before. Â Did you see the giant hot tub in Glenwood Springs? Â It's right next to the interstate.
Here's a pic, it's not a swimming pool, it's a hot spring pool

Picky, picky, picky.... Â Really didn't know WHERE I was, it was a rubber-necking run for sure.... Â Â Really liked the look of Grand Junction...

Junction is a nice town. I'd live there no problem...
