Well, finished Day 3 of my run from Toronto, Canada back to SoCal.  Started the day just east of Denver at 4:30AM and finished it just outside of St George, Utah around 6:00PM.

Lots of driving, and lots of beautiful country.  If you EVER get the chance, take the I-70 from the I-15 over to at least Green River...amazing sights to see.:

The Eisenhower Tunnel at 11,692 feet...

Rest Stop at some 10,000 feet...

The Colorado River, just down from the source lake...

Another, further down the canyon...

Shooting through a wet windshield...the river's on the left...they had 6 inches of rain in 5 hours last night...

Just jaw-dropping vistas all around you as you come west on the I-70...quite a few climbs to above 7,500 as well...

Bill Gates Wallpaper stuff...

Found something older than me...I think Art planted it....

Just AMAZING vistas in Northern Utah...if I would have stopped to take all the pictures I wanted, I'd still be out there...ya gotta see it to believe it... :cool  :love

Thanks for them shots. We have made that run a few times going to Co Springs, and SIL also lives in western CO.

Havn't been that way in a few years now. I'd gladly make the trip just for the sights. Your pictures bring back some memorys.

We've also had to make the run a few times with storms and snow all the way. Nerve wrecking, but what an experience.

Nice pics!  The Eisenhower tunnel is pretty cool.  I had never been in a tunnel like that before.  Did you see the giant hot tub in Glenwood Springs?  It's right next to the interstate.

Here's a pic, it's not a swimming pool, it's a hot spring pool

Monument Valley is in Northern AZ... but I'm sure you knew that... :D

If you ever get the chance when pulling one of those boats around, stop and stay at Gouldings Lodge in Monument Valley.  The guy that owns it is a hotboater... and it's a cool place to stop.
