Sweet... Just don't do Rotary Beach...
We've been using Rotary for years, usually a day or two so that other peeps can hook-up with us... BUT NOT ANY MORE...
It was slimy, smelly, hot, stagnant, overgrown with algae plants...NEVER seen it that bad.... In fact, the whole of Thompson Bay had a slight "sewer" smell to it...
That whole channel/bay needs a good enema...

Quote (tonedog @ Aug. 07 2008,10:43 am) | Rotary beach is on the East side of Thompson Bay (at the south end of the channnel), and I believe they closed part of the beach due to bacteria. Â I think that the problem is that we made the channel and it lacks the natural water flow it needs to stay clean. Â The rest of the lake where the water acually moves is fine. Â That's why I think that the channel gets so mucky and stinky in the warm (okay I admit, down right HOT) weather. |
Yep...need to maybe dredge it out to help the flow...
Great... put it up AFTER we leave town... So far, nobody has taken ill...
