Fatal Crash in Lake Cumberland

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just getting word from Chris Davidson, who's out at the Lake Cumberland Poker Run, that there was a fatal crash there that has, at least temporarily, shut down the event. He heard the boat that crashed was the "Pammy" boat previously owned by Dan Zwisler and now owned by Kevin Sellars of Indianapolis. Not 100% sure of that, trying to get more info.
It's being reported that Kevin Sellars, owner of the Pammy boat, died in the crash. His passenger, Craig Stumpe, was injured but apparently not very seriously. I was told that neither was wearing lifejackets.

Saw a snippet on this over @ RDP's this AM. Sad news indeed. Will be interestin' to find out if the jackets would've made a difference as this pans out.  :eek

That has been revised to say that both were indeed wearing vests. Kevin Sellers, owner of the boat is the one that passed. One report says he was trying to avoid spectator boats.

Goes to show how important it is to boat safely; even though in Mr. Sellars case the outcome was still dreadful. Thoughts and prayers to the families to those involved.   :(
